It gets down into the teens here in WI during the winter, but mostly I ride in the 30s. These are my first pair of insullated tights from Giordana. I have a couple other brands, and they all fall into one of three temp groups. These are great for mid-low temps. They would be too warm for 45F, and maybe not warm enough for below 20F. Of course a great feel, perfect chamois, and quality construction.
Nice quality winter bib
After wearing this bib for a couple of weeks, I'm impressed with the quality and comfort at this price level. It is warm at least to the mid-20's with high winds and is comfortable up to the mid-40's without feeling clammy or constrictive. The chamois is one of the best, providing light to moderate padding and becomes unnoticeable. When it first arrived, it had a very strong chemical smell from the waterproof treatment, but that went away after a couple of washings. My only suggestion for improvement is on the seams which run at the back of the knees and can be irritating depending on positioning and leg extension. It looks like it was done to accommodate the articulation of the legs, but could have been better designed by a flat seam or none at all. I would buy it again. I'm 5'9", 148 lbs, and medium fits well.
Great Bibs, not my fit
Bibs are nicely constructed, just didn't fit me right. the bib straps were too tight and they were a little long in length.
great for winter!
Best winter tight ever! Rain, cold and wind can't disturb your ride anymore
Must have for cold weather riding
I love these tights for cold days and fatbiking. I mainly use the AV full windfront bib tights for days below 45 degrees. The internal lining keeps my legs warm and the Blizzard Aqua Zero exterior keeps things dry. The cirro-S chamois provides all day comfort. The zippered cuffs at the ankle are snug and keep any road spray or snow out. Bottomline, the AV full windfront bib tight is a must have for cold weather riding.
