Like many winter cyclists I've searched for gloves to keep my hands warm. Not being able to feel the brake levers detracts from the fun of riding. With glove liners and Hot Hands you can ride with temperatures well below zero. Liners alone allow comfortable rides in the thirty degree range. Above that the gloves alone work in the forties. Beyond that they are too warm! I have large hands so though I am 5 feet nine inches and 165 pounds I am an XXL. That's true of every brand for me so I would say rely on previous experience. The High Viz accents are great. they seem to glow in low light!
