Fall/Winter Riding Guide Part I

The Perfect Gear for the Transitional Time of the Season

Now that the days are shorter and the air is crisper, it's time to make a few changes to your cycling wardrobe. A little preparation can go a long way, and the right wardrobe can make a big difference in how comfortable you feel on your bike as the temperatures get cooler.

Find what to wear this season to make the most of every ride. From lightweight transitional jerseys and layers to adaptable accessories, explore our transitional essentials for fall/winter with all-new fabrics, high visibility colors, reflective detailing, and improved technology.

SilverLine Thermal Long Sleeve Jersey

The all new SilverLine Long Sleeve jersey is constructed using a fleece-lined fabric that provides warmth, comfort and stretches in all the right places to move with you as you ride. The quick-drying, breathable fabric helps absorb moisture to aid in temperature regulation and help keep you dry. The SilverLine Thermal Jersey can be paired with a base layer and worn in the cool temperatures of early fall, or as a mid-layer paired with a coordinating jacket or vest when the colder winter months hit.

Fit

With a slightly relaxed-fit, the SilverLine Thermal Long Sleeve Jersey helps you layer on the warmth with enough room for a mid-weight base layer underneath to extend the range of the jersey when temperatures drop.

Temperature Range*

Recommended for milder climates and temperatures from high 60°F to low 40°F.

*Temperature ranges are a general reference as every cyclist experiences temperatures differently and depending on your riding style, from high output efforts to low-intensity training, the range could be extended or decreased.

SilverLine Thermal Vest

Make the most out of every ride. Warm, fleece-lined three-layer membrane fabric shields you against wind and preserves body heat, the SilverLine Thermal Vest is thin enough not to feel bulky and essential to seasonal layering. Strategically placed breathable side panels give performance-driven support and keep your temperature regulated during your demanding cold-weather adventures. Thermal comfort is enhanced by a fleece-lined collar. Reflective accents at the sides of the waist and center rear pocket help provide visibility in low-light conditions, and a full zipper with an easy pull tab offers a perfect fit every time.

Fit

A slightly relaxed yet aerodynamic fit that prevents unwanted, excess fabric and bunching. The SilverLine Thermal Vest has enough stretch to layer onto a light or midweight long sleeve jersey.

Temperature Range*

Recommended for mild to colder climates and temperatures from high 55°F to low 35°F.

Silverline Thermal Bib Tights

Classic comfort and compression, the technical Vuelta™ two-way stretch fabric creates a protective barrier against the cold and functions as a thermal insulator to keep your muscles warm while still providing breathability that aids in the evaporation of moisture and helps regulate body temperature. Double-lined fabric at the core of the body with a high waistband design keeps cold from creeping in with supportive elastic bib straps that help keep the tights stabilized. Reflective pixel technology is strategically placed on opposing legs – one section on the right of the front leg and one section on the back of the left leg - to highlight the legs in motion and provide visibility in low light conditions.

Fit

The Vuelta™ fabric’s 260-gram weight offers good stretch and compression with a tightly woven knit and only one seam down the leg for optimal thermal regulation. Elastic ankle cuffs with grippers help to keep the cold out.

Temperature Range*

Recommended for milder climates and temperatures from high 50°F to low 40°F.

Chamois

The Cirro and Cirro W chamois feature aloe vera infusion at the nano level and a four-layer construction including a hydrophobic foam layer that repels moisture.

Insulated Shoe Covers

Protection from the elements in vibrant colors, our Insulated Shoe Covers are made with a laminated fabric that features a protective membrane to block the elements and keep your feet dry and comfortable. Cleat and heel cutouts allow the cover to slide easily over your shoes and stay in place for the duration of the ride.

Temperature Range*

Recommended for mild to colder climates and temperatures from high 50°F to low 30°F.

Ceramic Base Layers

Ceramic Short Sleeve and Long Sleeve Base Layers have beneficial effects on circulation and well-being with their unique ceramic fibers and are true all-season garments because of the Resistex® Bioceramic technology. Resistex Bioceramic both reflects the heat to keep you cool in warm weather while trapping it in when the temperatures drop to keep you warm. This advanced material maintains thermal homeostasis, keeping your body in its comfort zone whether it’s hot or cold or somewhere pleasantly in between.

Fit

Streamlined, four-panel construction reduces bulk with a slim fit. The Ceramic Base Layer is the perfect addition to pair under nearly any day's kit. A versatile cycling base layer for use in most conditions.

Temperature Range

Recommended for warm to colder climates and temperatures of 70°F to low 20°F depending on layering and if wearing the short or long sleeve base layer.
